The Singapore Jurong Bird Park

20 years after Pauline’s first visit to the Singapore Jurong Bird Park, we have decided to revisit the park and it was amazing!

With over 4600 birds from 380 different species on 202,000 square meters land,
everyone could  have a fun day in there!

The indoor Panguin Coast was closed when we visit! Quite a disappointment for us
It is the 2nd largest penguin habitat in the world! It was one of the reason that we came to the bird park! So if you were going FOR the penguin coast, please call the park ahead and make sure that its not under maintenance schedule!

Cute little Africa penguin.  So sweet and he loves the cuddle from the park rangers!

The birds are just not afraid of people and these blue ones actually tried to approach us!

The Pools Amphitheater show was fun and the birds are smarter than we thought!

for the cost of SG$5 each person, it only allows you to hop on and off for 1 time only!

Singapore Lilliputt Mini Golf

Being our 4th Mini Golf Challenge,
we went to the Lilli Putt at Singapore East Coast Park area!

Pauline won the game so its…Pauline 3 Wins, Andrew 1 Win

So heres the highlight of the event!

And we found the xth Merlion!

Overall, the Lilli Putt is a great fun place to spend an hour or 2!
Indoor and with miniature display of Singapore’s local favorite,
its like a Singapore tour in a Mini Game!

As a reminder, bring your own pair of socks, you will need them to walk around the area and if you have forgotten to bring your own, you can still purchase from Lilliputt for a small fee

oops, we missed the flight for him to go back to hong kong. (for the 2nd time)

Though, at first we panicked when he was not allowed to get on the flight… and then i started to worry abt his work back home.. etc

but honestly, i was secretly overjoyed that we’ve got another extra 24 hours with him! haha. the happiness felt a bit gulity though, as it was misfortune about missing the flight. ha, so i didn’t dare to show it too outright. We went to the airport and back home and napped a bit more, before we head out to make use of the extra day we had!

It was a really lovely day, as beach lovers, we already knew where to go! Sentosa beach (again!) have we got sick of it yet? Hmmm… i don’t think so. Always find something new to see, explore and play with.

You can tell it’s such a beautiful day!

The Annual Sentosa Getaway (Day 1)!

This is a seriously overdue blog post since June 09!

The Singapore Sentosa became one of our annual getaway destination.
conveniently located nearby to the city, its the great spot for us for a quick plan for stay over, relax and enjoy our own sweet time!

This time, we decided to stay somewhere more comfortable for 2D1N at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort. The day’s weather is warm and sunny, perfect for outdoor pictures. So, off we go to the new ‘Sentosa Nature Discovery’ walk.

Yay!! Prime rib at Hog’s Breath

Knowing I am a big fan for the roast prime rib,
Pauline found this new eatery and we decided to go for a romantic dinner!

Hog’s breath is original an australian cafe,  now at Singapore Chijmes area at Cityhall!

yummy yummy prime rib with garlic prawns! Everything is above my expectation! Except the corn which is tasteless!

They claim their prime ribs were slow cooked for 18 hrs and then seal it with a char-flame for additional flavor!

Ever since, our last night prawning the last time, we’ve learnt that the chicken liver that the shop offers as bait does not work as well. Thus, this time, we decided to prepare our own baits!

Andrew having some difficult time trying to pry open the fresh cockles for the 1st time.. and it’s so bloody that it was quite disgusting and stinky.. Eewwww…

There is so many people around prawning at wee hours of the night. We spent like 3 hours with 2 rods for SG$60. If there are any unused time, could always use it the next time.

My 1st Wakeboarding! :D

It’s a sport that i’ve always wanted to try..

and i’m so glad i did on Saturday morning. It was so fun! would pretty love to do more of it and learn wakeboarding!

What’s in the box?!

My new-found hobby is Tennis.

Have been learning Tennis from a private coach with a group of friends… and it has been lotsa fun. Some time after,  its time to  get my own Tennis Racquet too, to play on my own on free time other than classes. But since, i’m quite some noob, it’s hard for me to pick one, and i’m having a hard time scratching my head, deciding which one to buy…..

我呀媽每一次去新加坡都要食海南雞同埋肉骨茶，我呢, 就每一次去新加坡都一定要去食Laksa, 真係唔食過都唔安樂
今次去新加坡因為同埋Mom and Dad 去, 我同Pauline好多時間都係同佢地一齊，無乜自己時間….好在, Auntie Pauline (my 四姑je, who married to Singapore) 同呀媽都識做放左我同Pauline比我地自己去玩

hahaha….真係滿心歡喜的樣子….

一有自己時簡我地就去左食我最鍾意既Laksa!
係 East Coast Road 216 號既328加東叻沙, 因為佢唔係太辣而成為左我不容錯過的食店!!
 

Visiting Singapore…With MOM and DAD!

A big difference from my usual Singapore Visit, this time is ME tag along them! 

 

Since Mom and Dad had been to most of the Singapore sightseeing places, most of the time they just spend their time walking around for shops and casually walking around the city !

Shen Hang and Aileen’s Wedding

Been busy with 2 weddings over the weekend! Both of them are my cousins, both father’s side, but one is being called the 堂哥 (Adrian) and the other one, being my dad’s sister’s son, I have to call him 表弟 (Shen Han). And since I have not taken any pictures for Adrian.  According to 大讓細’s logic, I am going to blog about Shen Han’s wedding first!

Shen Han’s mom was married to Singapore and Shen Han was born and work in Singapore,so the wedding sure held in Singapore!
The Day after Adrian’s wedding, My Mom, Dad and I took the morning flight on Sunday to catch the wedding dinner of Aileen and Shen Han.

Baldie

My poor Shiro was shaved totally bald few weeks ago, all his cute fluffy white fur is gone! Why?! Because the poor thing couldn’t deal with the heat in Singapore and had so much rashes all over his body that lead to some infection. To save him from all the torture, we had to shave him bald and apply his medicine properly, mo matter how much we loved his fur!

First few days, he was still quite upset-looking. Probably knows he’s not as handsome anymore?
