My Love Plant Diary

28 02 2008

Last year in Jan, he sent me a big pot of lavender by mail? Well, being no green fingers, of cos it didn’t grow. The only thing we thought it grew was soil and more soil. There was nothing growing except STILL that pot of soil. So this time, he got me a grow-it-yourself plant kit that he claims is even easier than the last one, and it’s quite impossible that i would fail.

so this is my love plant growing-up diary. It is supposed to grow in 7 days~

but well ………

after succeeding in growing it, after the 8th day, it started to die!!! :’(

Boy said, the next time, we would try to grow something together. So MAYBE less chance of me killing any more plants :P

can we grow some strawberries?! or some chilli to make some laksa?! haha…

Laksa Review #3 – Blk 928 Yishun Laksa

18 02 2008

Boy’s 3rd try of Laksa.

For $2.20/$3 each bowl, there is fair amount of ingredients, fishcakes, crabsticks, cockles, dried tofu, usually served in disposable bowls and utensils. Definitely worth the price for the quantity.

It was also introduced in SG’s food show 排排站查查看2.

This place is actually nearer to my home, and actually had been eating Laksa from here since in High School days, it’s a nearby comfort Laksa food for me when i’m craving for one.

Though, still uncomparable with Laksa #2, but for the price, quantity and quality, it’s actually quite a good Laksa already, especially if added its sambal chilli paste in it to add the spicyness (for those who can take spicy-ness). Gravy is not the super rich milky type, it is fragrant with lots of galangal ginger bits and dried shrimp, thus it’s better than the most normal Laksa around. Due to all these aspect there is always a queue for this 928 Laksa eatery, the only downside is they have very limited seats to eat-in. For quick comfort to satisy some Laksa craving, i would visit here again. So, would rate it 7.5/10

Andrew actually has not much memory of this one, so we can figure, it’s not as outstanding comparing to Laksa #2 :) We actually miss the latter.

Our 2nd Valentines’ Day (Day 4)

18 02 2008

Day 4

Lakehouse

We had breakfast at the hotel before checking out, and again, while having breakfast, the girl was trying to move the poach egg from my plate to his plate…. and…. oops! dropped it on the table! (again)

“It’s normal la~” he said. -___________-” giving the 很無奈 face.

After all that, we head to the Boh Tea Farm, which the other day the one we visited doesn’t seem to be the one we planned to go! And off we went to drive on the twirly twirly roads around the hills of tea plantation. To our dismay, the sign read ‘Closed on Monday’. Oh great~ Anyways, we stopped by the narrow road to take the pretty views of tea, tea and more tea leaves, so so so much greenery. We had so much greenery, and almost had enough of it already.

Our 2nd Valentine’s Day (Day 1)

15 02 2008

Day 1

For this year Valentines’ day, we decide to go to Cameron Highlands, Malaysia for a road trip, so this our 1st ‘Real’ Road Trip!

Train Ride

Boy has done most of the planning for this road trip, he has been very detailed, careful and extremely thoughtful while planning always. :P And for preparation before our road trip, he even prepared me a ‘Cameron Highland Essential Pack’, or so he named it. From card, to cute apple juice packs and plenty of yummy chocolate bites for the long ride there, and even a warmer to keep me warm when it gets too cold there! I got him something to keep him warm too! We have the same thoughts again . . . Read the rest of this entry »
